Hallow Point 3-17-2018

Hallow Point is a 5-man heavy metal band from St. Louis, Missouri touring for their second album release, Beyond Our Name. Halfway through the “Blistering” leg of their tour, the band came to Raleigh, North Carolina for a St. Patrick’s Day concert supporting 6 local metal bands.

The intimate setting felt more like a party than a concert with a new band playing every hour. Guests and musicians were able to mingle together and enjoy each band’s set and get to know all the bands. The organizers of the show were in the bands themselves, so a lot of care went into it and it was a great night catered to metal lovers. The party feel and the common love of metal set this show apart than others with audience interaction, and bands swapping players throughout the night. The second act, MechaBull, introduced pool noodles for the mosh pit that everyone in attendance had fun with all night.

The lineup of the night:

•Fear the Indifference (https://www.facebook.com/feartheindifference/)
•MechaBull (https://www.facebook.com/Mechabull/)
•Nova Mortis (https://www.facebook.com/novamortismusic/)
•PROMO (https://www.facebook.com/PromoNCBand/)
•Through all this Time (https://www.facebook.com/throughallthistime/)
•Attracting the Fall (https://www.facebook.com/AttractingtheFall/)
•Hallow Point

Hallow Point ended the mini-metal fest on a high note with their set. They had a great light design with perfectly-timed strobes with their heavy sound, and multi-colored spots and fog that added the perfect element to each song played. They performed tracks from their new album, ending with their latest singles, “Blistering” and “Acedia.” They shared whiskey and deep-throated screams with fans throughout their set and afterwards spent time talking shop with those in attendance.

Hallow Point has several tour dates coming up, to include Rocklahoma in May 25-27. Go to their website and follow their social media for all updates, and make sure you check out their new music video, released early March 2018.
