Styx At Jiffy Lube Live 7-13-2018

Styx and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts brought their co-headlining tour to Jiffy Lube Live for a night of classic rock on Friday night, also on the night’s lineup were 80’s band Tesla. The tour kicked off at the end of May and will wrap up on July 15th in Holmdel, NJ.

Tesla, who are currently out celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut release Mechanical Resonance got things started for the night. The band played a shortened eight song opening set. Fans weren’t disappointed by the short set as it contained fan favorites, “Hang Tough,” “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out),” “Signs,” “Little Suzi,” and wrapped up with “Modern Day Cowboy.” Tesla’s ’80’s hard-rock sound was a perfect fit for the night’s lineup and set the mood for the rest of the evening. Tesla will make appearances at this year’s Moondance Jam as well as 1019’s Monsters of Rock Cruise which will take place February 24th thru March 1st.
