Malibu, CA based musician and Grammy-nominated record producer released the official music video for his new single “Don’t Kill My Buzz,” out now via Bananabeat Records. The music video premiered yesterday on Billboard, who penned the track “easygoing” and a “salute [to] the mellow life”.
“It’s funny, after making so many music videos for so many songs and just the amount of content that’s out there, I was like, ‘Let’s just tell the truth,'” Cisco said in a recent interview with Billboard. “And the song, if anything, is a stripped-down version of the truth, so I’d love to just show what makes me happy. And what makes me happy is my everyday life with my family and friends.”

“Don’t Kill My Buzz” is available now on iTunes.

Cisco Adler is a singer/songwriter/producer out of Malibu, CA, who is known for his California sound and knack ear for discovering and fostering talent with his Malibu-based label and creative space. Cisco is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who began producing hip-hop before founding LA based buzz band Whitestarr, which he calls “the biggest band that never made it!” Whitestarr toured with Kid Rock, ZZ Top, The Stray Cats, Wolfmother and played Coachella.
While still in the band, Adler met a kid named Aaron Smith, and together they formed the duo Shwayze – which spawned two Top 40 singles produced and penned by Adler. The song “Buzzin'” was a runaway hit around the world and “Corona & Lime” was even bigger. The two headlined Warped Tour and sold out shows around the world. Around that time, Adler also co-wrote and produced cult classics “Mr. Right” and “Jane Fonda” for Mickey Avalon, the latter becoming a Top 5 rock radio hit. Adler and Avalon would also pen the song “What Would You Do” for The Hangover with Lil Jon. He also did the same with underground club smash and viral hit “1980” by comedy rapper Dirt Nasty. When Mark Ronson was asked to remix the tune he declined, calling the song “perfect.”
His first solo project, Aloha, was released in 2012 and featured G. Love, Cody Dickinson, Mod Sun, G Eazy, Don Carlos, Jeff Wooten of The Gorillaz, and Slightly Stoopid. He followed up with Coastin’, which spawned the roots single “Hypnotize” ft. Matisyahu. Cisco and Matis hit the road together in what became Adler’s last tour. Becoming a father and focusing on producing and writing for the last year found the California native staying seaside and working with Cody Simpson to reinvent his career with the independent and critically acclaimed album Free, co-writing and co-producing a track featuring Vic Mensa on the Grammy-nominated Ego Death album by The Internet, writing and producing with Fergie, and developing rising star Goody Grace, who is up next. He also just completed work producing the soundtrack for the new Rocky Horror Picture Show starring Laverne Cox, Adam Lambert, Tim Curry and more.
Whatever Cisco works on, it sounds like Cisco, it sounds like California, and it makes you feel groovy. His latest single “Don’t Kill My Buzz” is no different and featured Cody Dickinson on drums and keys, and Mark Rudin on Trumpet. Adler plays the guitar, bass, and sings on the mellow roots rocker, which is available everywhere digitally.
