Otep brought the Nu Metal sound to Minneapolis. The tour was called “ Equal Rights, Equal Lefts”. Their latest album “Generation Doom” was released April 15th 2016. Otep was touring in direct support for Mushroomhead Otep Shamaya’s sound is totally different from what I’ve ever heard before. Otep is a in your face true Metal Rocker. They played a quick ten song setlist starting with “Battle Ready” and ending with “Confrontation”. The set was a blast to watch and be apart of. I’m looking forward to seeing what Otep is doing next..
Mushroomhead came out playing a killer set of their unique avant-garde sound. The crowd was captivated by their stage presence and colorful attire. The screaming guitars and the four large water drums flashing blue to red where absolutely mesmerizing. Mushroomhead played a fourteen song setlist consisting of Qwerty, Before I Die and a Prince cover of “When Doves Cry”
Mushroomhead and Otep are both outstanding metal bands that are a must see for metal fans.
