With the first pick in the draft, Monster Energy and Idol Roc Entertainment select Post Malone to headline the 2016 Outbreak Tour with special guests, Jazz Cartier and Larry June, hosted by FKi 1st. The 41-date tour will kick-off in San Diego at The Observatory on September 14th and conclude in Los Angeles at The Wiltern on November 9th.
Launched in 2011, and growing each year since, Outbreak is recognized as the ultimate influencer pairing break-through talent with fan friendly ticket prices at premium venues. The Outbreak franchise consists of six annual tours; Hip Hop, Rock, EDM, College, Comedy, Country and the buzz-worthy Outbreak House at SXSW. Previous Outbreak Tour Alumni include: Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, Logic, Iggy Azalea, Fetty Wap, Issues, Carnage, Logic and The Chainsmokers.
Post Malone’s domination of the music industry has been nothing short of a whirlwind. Moving to Los Angeles at 19 years old, the Dallas native teamed up with producer FKi and began recording music. After writing and recording “White Iverson” in his bedroom, Post Malone published the single to his Soundcloud where he immediately gained the support from hip hop heavy hitters Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. Subsequently major publications such as Complex, The Fader, Noisey and Hypebeast alike also started to take note of the star. 2015 was a breakthrough year for Post, he signed to Republic Records and saw “White Iverson” certify 3 times Platinum. While on tour with Fetty Wap for the “Welcome To The Zoo Tour” at the beginning of 2016. Adding to his extensive list of accolades, Post Malone has over 200 million streams collectively (22 million of which are from his debut mixtape August 26) and over 280 million-plus views on YouTube/VEVO.
