Lukas Graham Nominated For Record of the Year, Song of the Year, And Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “7 Years”

 

Acclaimed Country Artist Brandy Clark Nominated for Two Awards

 

 Enya, Disturbed, Gallant, Josh Groban and PARTYNEXTDOOR Honored with One Nomination Each

 

Warner Bros. Records artists representing multiple genres from across the label’s roster, including Rock, Pop, R&B, New Age and Country, have been nominated for eleven 2017 Grammy Awards by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), it was announced today.   

 

Lukas Graham have earned three Grammy nominations in the highly coveted categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, all for the album track “7 Years.” The nominations round out a remarkable year for the Danish band, led by vocalist Lukas Forchhammer, who released their self-titled debut album earlier this year and since then have solidified their status as 2016’s biggest breakout act. Their hit single “7 Years” is the highest-selling single by a debut artist this year, and the third highest-selling single of the year overall.

 

Acclaimed Country singer/songwriter Brandy Clark is nominated for two awards, Best Country Album (Big Day in a Small Town) and Best Country Solo Performance (“Love Can Go to Hell”), for a total of 6 career nominations.  Enya, Disturbed, Gallant, Josh Groban and OVO Sound’s PARTYNEXTDOOR were all honored with one nomination each.   In addition to WBR’s eleven nominations, Greg Kurstin and Nineteen85 also received “Producer, Non-Classical” nominations for their work on albums and singles by Warner Bros. Records artists Tegan and Sara and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

 

The 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards ceremony will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12th, 2017.
