Vans Warped Tour At Merriweather Post Pavilion 7-29-2018

Over eighteen thousand fans filled the grounds of Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday for the final time the Vans Warped Tour will come to town. After twenty-four years as a touring festival, 1018 marks the final year the festival will tour the country. With sixty-six bands spread across six stages fans had plenty of music to choose from. Fans also had plenty to choose from in the likes of vendors as tents were set up across the festival grounds selling band merchandise as well as various other items.

The days events got started just after eleven with bands taking to the owly.fm, Full Sail, and Journeys Right Foot stages. From there it was non-stop music as bands took their turns to perform their thirty minute sets.

Over on the Journeys Left Foot stage bands like Issues, 3OH!3, The Interrupters, Reel Big Fish, State Champs, and an appearance by Maryland’s own Good Charlotte all took the stage before Mayday Parade closed out the day.

Over at the Journeys Right Foot stage fans were treated to performances by Tonight Alive, Less Than Jake, Simple Plan, Movements, and Falling in Reverse who closed out the stage as well as the days events.

Yungblud, and Don Broco were highlights over on the owly.fm stage putting on energizing performances and showing fans what Warped Tour is all about.

It seemed the heavier performances of the day were held on the Mutant Red Dawn and Mutant White Lightning stages which were located side by side. Bands like, The Amity Affliction, Crown The Empire, Turnstile, Unearth, Twiztid, Motionless in White, Necrogoblikon, Wage War, Senses Fail, Chelsea Grin, August Burns Red, Every Time I die, and Ice Nine Kills all performed on the two stages putting on incredible performances in the blistering heat.

After a cryptic tweet by Kevin Lyman after the show fans were left to ponder if the Vans Warped Tour could possibly return to the Merriweather Post Pavilion in some shape in 2019.
