Fans filled The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on Thursday night for the co-headlining tour featuring Circa Survive and Thrice.
The tour which kicked off at the beginning of November also features Balance & Composure and Chon. The tour will wrap up on December 8th in Minneapolis, MN.
Balance & Composure got things started for the night followed by an instrumental set by San Diego’s CHON.
Circa Survive are currently out touring in support of their latest release The Amulet which was released back in July. The night’s set saw three songs from the new album with “Lustration” kicking off the set. Other notable songs to make the thirteen song set were, “The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose,” “Child of the Desert,” and wrapped up with “Get Out” from the 2010 release Blue Sky Noise. Anthony Green was quick to get the crowd involved as he held the mic stand out into the audience as they sang along. Anthony was also sure to try to shake the hand of the crowd surfers who happened to make their way over the barricade.
Thrice closed out the evening kicking off their set with “The Earth Will Shake” from their 2005 release Vheissu. Thrice released their ninth studio album To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere back in 2016 and have been touring in support of it since. The album which hit number 15 on the Billboard charts also produced the singles “Black Honey” and “Hurricane” which were both included in the night’s setlist. The set consisted of 15 songs that spread across the band’s discography with songs like “Deadbolt,” “Firebreather,” and closed out with “The Long Defeat” from the latest album.
