Staind At Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach 9-13-2026

Staind is celebrating a huge milestone with 25 years from their “Break the Cycle” album. To celebrate, they’ve kicked off a massive tour, supported by Hinder, Hoobatank, and Seether. September 13th, they had a stop in Virginia Beach at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheatre. This tour stop was SOLD OUT with over 20,000 people in attendance!

The day threatened to ruin the night with showers on and off all day, but that didn’t stop the crowd. The rain let up, and happy fans trudged through puddles and wet grass and greenhouse humid air happily.

Hinder was first on stage. The crowd wasn’t full yet, but they played, still, to about 10,000 people. They brought great energy and folks were singing along. They ended their set with the iconic “Lips of an Angel” and “Get Stoned.”

Hoobastank was next in the line up and they EXPLODED on the stage. There were fans of all ages at the barricade connecting directly to the singer, but he particularly spoke out to a certain flavor of Millennial who first listened in high school in the early 2000’s and were having a moment of nostalgia seeing them live now with adult money.

As Seether came on, the sun was starting to go down. With the last of the sunlight, you could see a wave of thousands of faces in the crowd. Their set “grunged” the place down with moody lighting and growling guitars. Their subliminal messaging flashing on the screens makes me believe in the conspiracy that they’re the creator of that weird S symbol we somehow all know how to draw and recognize instinctively. Beyond their subliminal messaging, their set connected with the crowd, old and young, and every lyric was sung along.

Staind closed out the night in the same manner, with the crowd packed like sardines and every lyric sung in unison. Aaron Lewis effortlessly hit every note, the gravelly lows and the melodic hold outs, sounding just as good as he first did a quarter of a century ago when their album released. There were a few moments where he’d go to the side stage to look at the crowd and you could see a twinkle in his eye and a small smile curl on his lips. He remained very stoic on the mic.

The whole night was nearly euphoric as you could see every fan there happy to see their favorite band. While they may have been there for one band, the others on the bill were so cohesive and had a good set, that everyone seemed to enjoy the entirety of the night. All ages were in attendance, with several teens at the barricade screaming the lyrics, but for all the parents in the crowd, this night was really for them to relive the good days on the early 2000’s before things really went downhill.
