Korn At Jiffy Lube Live Bristow, VA 8-11-2021

The ‘Summer Tour 2021’ featuring co-headliners Korn and Staind rolled into Jiffy Lube Live on Wednesday night. Fans braved thunderstorms to fill the pavillion for the return of heavy music to the area. Originally Korn were slated to tour with Faith No More and Staind were set to go out with Disturbed in 2020 but when both of those tours were canceled due to Covid the two joined up for one of the biggest tours of 2021.

The tour will feature openers ’68 during the month of August with Fire From The Gods taking over for the month of September. With an early start and many fans staying in their cars to avoid the thunderstorms ’68 took the stage as many fans were still making their way thru the venue gates. ’68 released their latest release Give One Take One back in March of this year.

For Staind fans it’s been over five years since the band has done a full tour, other than a few festival appearances in 2019 fans have had to be content with catching one of vocalists Aaron Lewis’ solo tours. 2021 will see Staind criss-cross the country hitting twenty-eight cities from August 5th thru September 21st.  The last time that Staind played Jiffy Lube Live was back in September of 2012 when they were part of the Uproar Festival, so to say fans were excited to catch the guys on stage again would be an understatement. Staind’s setlist included all the classics with the night wrapping up with the hits “It’s Been Awhile” and “Mudshovel”.

Staind Setlist:

Eyes Wide Open
Open Your Eyes
Not Again
Fade
Raw
Right Here
Crawl
Outside
Paper Wings
So Far Away
For You
It’s Been Awhile
Mudshovel

The last time Korn played was back in 2019 when they were first touring in support of their latest release, The Nothing. Fans were treated to a fifteen song setlist that consisted of a blend of new and classic fan favorites. The ninety minute set included only one track from The Nothing with the set being heavy on tracks from their debut album. On “Shoots and Ladders” the guys mixed in Metallica’s “One” which seemed to be a hit with fans. The night wrapped up with a medley of “It’s On / Trash / Did My Time,” “Twist,” “A.D.I.D.A.S.,” and “Blind.”

With the rise of Covid related cases and the band’s frontman, Jonathan Davis testing positive for Covid several dates on the current tour have had to be rescheduled or canceled so fans need to be sure to get out to a show while they can and catch one of the biggest tours of the summer. Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
