Side Stage Magazine Speaks With Members Of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown At Fort Rock 2018

Caleb Crosby (drums) and Noah Denney (bass) of Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown spoke with Side Stage Magazine on day 2. They had a great sense of humor and were some of the nicest guys at the festival. They opened the second day of the festival and were amazing! They have a classic rock look and fuse that classic rock sound with modern techniques for music for any rock fan. Their festival circuit kicks off a European tour for the band. Check them out and read below.

Side Stage Magazine: I’m here with Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown
Noah Denney: Half of us
Caleb Crosby: The Rhythm section

So this is your second festival, right?
CC: Yeah. We did Welcome to Rockville yesterday, Fort Rock today and Rock on the Range in a couple weeks. We’re not on Carolina Rebellion, right?
ND: No
CC: Yeah, I think it’s just these three.
ND: They stopped asking us.
CC: Oh yeah. We had to cancel a few years ago cause we got the AC/DC tour. Playing first is a little bit difficult sometimes, cause it can be a bit chaotic. Yesterday and today were great kicking the day off. It’s a big responsibility.

You guys were great! You had great energy. You were perfect to start things off and were fun to watch.
CC: We joke that play for the “breakfast club.”

The ones that aren’t too hungover from yesterday.
CC: Yeah, yeah, exactly!

Not too loud, it’s OK! Do you guys get to enjoy the festival today?
CC: We’re actually rolling from here to New York. We play New York in a couple days, so we have a long ride and some stuff we have to do day-of-show, so it’s one of those things, part of the gig, so we have to roll out. We have some friends with Ozzy we were hoping to see, but we’re still hearing these bands.

Oh yeah! Avatar is playing now!

CC: Actually Avatar was on our stage yesterday, so we saw a little bit of their set.

Oh nice! So maybe eventually you’ll catch a show!

CC: Yeah, right! Half here and half there!

So who are you looking forward to for Rock on the Range?
ND: Actually, I don’t know who’s on the lineup.
CC: I think Tool is headlining.
ND: Oh yeah! That’d be awesome!
CC: And I think we’re able to actually stick around. And I’m bummed because Machine Gun Kelly is playing on a different day and he’s come to a couple of our gigs. Tyler keeps in touch with him, we’re good friends of his. We’re bummed we won’t be able to see him. But there’s a great lineup! They’ve got some good bands!

Yeah! This has been a great show so far. This is one of the smaller festivals, but it’s been constant, 12 hours of non-stop rock!
CC: Yeah, it’s music full time. I like the idea of the two stages.

Well, I’ll let you guys go, I know you have a busy day. It was great talking to you!
