September Mourning's Unholy

Anticipating an EP release in 2019, September Mourning released their latest single, “Unholy.”

The song’s scorching guitar riffs and sing-song chorus breakdowns tell a tale of a love so strong that it is fatally addicting. Opening with lyrics Bodies unfurl, into each other

They were meant for this death, chemical bliss and I don’t want to be saved.” it has a macabre Shakepearan story attached.

This song blends poppy vocals with metal guitar shreds that creates a unique sound. With Emily’s breathy vocals, in the beginning, it’s reminiscent of the Russian duo, t.A.T.u. and their famed hit “All the Things She Said.” The chanting bridge reminds me of Lady Gaga in her first album’s style of music.

“Unholy” has such a great blend of styles. It’s instantly easy to sing along to, and still mosh to. With the dark story theme it has, it’s the perfect single for any dark-hearted rock fan.

Check out the video for the single below, and follow the band on social media to catch them live on their tour through the end of September
