Puddle of Mudd At The Tarheel 5-11-2018

Puddle of Mudd made a tour stop in Jacksonville, NC at the Tarheel. This intimate venue was the perfect place for fans to enjoy music and support local musicians as they came to hear their favorite band.

Before doors opened for ticket holders, the patio offered drinks and an acoustic set from NoWhere’s Home. They covered a lot of classic rock songs, and created a relaxed atmosphere to unwind from the work week and enjoy local music. https://www.facebook.com/nowhereshome/

Opening the night was synth-rock band, Past Tense of Never. With their female vocals, and electronic beats, the band’s set offered a new sound that the crowd enjoyed. Closing their set, they played their heaviest song that showed the range their lead vocalist could hit with a pretty melodic voice, than go into deep guttural screams. While the band is undergoing some changes coming up, keep up with their songs and new members at https://www.facebook.com/pasttenseofnever/

Strength Betrayed, the Christian rock band based out of Dunn, NC was next on the stage. Their set was heavy and pulled in the audience with moshers and fists in the air. Their set was well received and with their heavy sound and positive lyrics, metal and Christian music fans would enjoy their album. Check them out at https://www.facebook.com/Strengthbetrayed/

Returning to the Tarheel was a local favorite of Faith & Scars from Raleigh. Playing “Voodoo Child” by the legendary Jimi Hendrix and a sexy acoustic “Purple Rain” by Prince, anyone unfamiliar with the band was singing along instantly. These two covers were done amazingly well and were the perfect accompanying songs to their original set. Their hits and tour dates can be found at https://www.facebook.com/FaithandScarsOfficial/

Finally, Puddle of Mudd hit the stage. The 90’s grunge band was well-received from fans of all ages from elementary school age to nearing retirement age. Once they hit the stage, the crowd went wild and was instantly singing along to their opening song “Control,” which the band fused with Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” The rest of their set had the same effect on the audience of excitement and nostalgia as the audience sang along with every song.

Puddle of Mudd is touring through the end of the year in the US and abroad with feature shows with Saving Abel. Follow their schedule at https://www.facebook.com/puddleofmudd/
