Poison brought their “Nothin’ But a Good Time” tour to Jiffy Lube Live on Sunday night, also on the nights lineup were Pop Evil and Cheap Trick. The tour is set to wrap up on July 1st in Hollywood, FL, fans can purchase tickets and VIP packages from Poison’s website HERE.

Pop Evil took the stage first getting the crowd warmed up on what was already a hot and steamy night. Pop Evil dropped their fifth studio album back in February of this year and introduced fans to the new material playing the World’s Loudest Month Festivals in the spring. The nights set included several tracks from the latest album with “Ex Machina,” “Be Legendary,” and “Waking Lions” making the setlist. Rounding out the rest of set were “Deal With the Devil,” “Take It All,” and “Trenches,” which saw vocalist Leigh Kakaty get up close and personal with fans as we walked thru the crowd singing the song.

With eighteen studio albums under their belts they had plenty of material to choose from to keep the fans up on their feet and singing along. Cheap Trick closed out their set with a flurry of classic hits that included “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” and “Surrender.”

Poison has been playing their style of 80’s glam metal for over thirty years adding new and younger generations of fans to their fan base with each tour. Sunday night Jiffy Lube Live was treated to a roughly seventy-five minute, eleven song set of classic Poison. Brett and the rest of the crew were on point as they kicked the night off with “Look What the Cat Dragged In” taking breaks between songs to catch their breath in the summer heat and reminisce on touring thru the area as they were just getting their start. Despite their debut album, Look What the Cat Dragged In is over thirty years old the material still holds up today. The night was closed out and true Poison fashion with Kiss’ cover of “Rock and Roll All Nite.” While many 80’s era bands have long since faded Poison proved they still have the energy and fan base to play large amphitheaters each year. Poison fans can look forward to Brett returning to the area when he plays a solo show in Annapolis, MD at Rams Head on Stage. Tickets for the show can be purchased HERE

Poison Setlist: Look What the Cat Dragged In, I Want Action, Ride the Wind, Talk Dirty to Me, Something to Believe In, Your Mama Don’t Dance (Loggins & Messina cover), Guitar Solo, Fallen Angel, Unskinny Bop, Drum Solo, Bass Solo, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Nothin’ but a Good Time Encore: Rock and Roll All Nite
