New Year’s Day finished their tour in Jacksonville, NC before they get off the road and finish their upcoming album. On tour with them is famed North Carolina band, LYLVC, who was named North Carolina’s 2022 Rock Band of the Year in 2022.
For a Sunday night, fans turned out for this show, and it was a night full of girl power in rock with local band and female fronted Solid Hollow opening up. Next was another local metal band, KVRB Trip.
LYLVC was next with their hit singles, Perfect Drug and Monster, and then singing their unreleased next single, Unt=dertow. The Linkin Park inspired band of course had to throw in some Linkin in the setlist.
New Year’s Day then ended the night to excited leather-clad and studded fans, and Ash had a great chemistry with the fans in between songs. Each member, in addition to being amazing musicians, we also incredible performers with their physicality on stage, all while playing an instrument. Ash, with her signature black and red hair, looked like a goddess with her hair blowing behind her as she belted out the lyrics.
