Los Lonely Boys heat up Lexington with a powerful performance with support from Lisa Morales.

It’s not every day that Grammy award-winning musicians come to a venue in your own backyard. A great crowd sure didn’t miss the opportunity, filling Lexington’s Manchester Music Hall to soak it all in.

With a career spanning 20 + years and counting and 5 studio albums under their belts, Los Lonely Boys is a family affair in the truest sense with brothers: Henry (guitar, vocals), Jojo (bass, vocals), and Ringo (drums, vocals) Garza effortlessly performing a style of music they call “Texican Rock n’ Roll.

As the house lights dropped, Los Lonely Boys came out to a solid ovation.  Before getting started Henry Garza thanked Jesus for the chance to play music tonight before Bassist JoJo Garza launches into their opening songs “Don’t Walk Away,” “Blame it on Love,” and “Give a Little More” and the evening was off to a fast start.

From their most recent album, Revelation, a steamy rendition of “So Sensual” with Henry’s blinding guitar work on display for everyone to see has the entire venue movin’ and goovin’.  Not wasting the energy in the room, a lively Beatles cover of “Daytripper” followed by the Latin feeling love song “I Never Met a Woman” and fan favorite “Nobody Else” the keep the party going.

With a good part of the evening behind us, Los Lonely Boys seemed to keep the best for last as a huge roar from the crowd welcomed “Crazy Dreams” followed by the bluesy “Cottonfields and Crossroads” again allowing Henry an opportunity to showcase his scorching guitar playing.

Addressing the crowd for the final time this evening, Henry thanked everyone for coming out tonight exclaiming “Are you happy to be alive?” which was again met with a loud roar. “Heaven”, the song everyone was waiting for, brought the curtain down on a fantastic evening of Texican Rock n’ Roll with Los Lonely Boys.

Opening the show this evening was the wonderful singer/songwriter Lisa Morales accompanied by the amazing guitarist Paul Ramirez. During her 45-minute set, Lisa openly shared stories about her musical influences, her Mom, and her life while performing several songs from her newest album, Luna Negra and the Daughter of the Sun. With Lisa playing acoustically and Paul shredding his electric guitar a stunning cover of The Beatles/George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” set the house on fire.

In a recent article Rolling Stone described Lisa Morales newest album saying, “it’s impossible not to hear the Americana and country-music influence that has made Morales one of the most multifaceted artists to watch in 2018.”  It’s easy to see where the Rolling Stone comment was based, Lisa and Paul were a delight tonight.
