Justin Bieber recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where he announced his Purpose Tour is coming to North American stadiums.

Commencing on August 5th in California and ending September 5th in Toronto, the tour will offer six dates for fans to catch the artist live. One dollar from each ticket sale will be donated to Pencils of Promise, a charity devoted to building schools in developing countries.

It has been 12 months since Bieber released his fourth album, Purpose, which contained the massive hit single “Sorry”. Since March he has been on a promotional tour, performing 52 international dates and 64 American appearances. On New Year’s Eve the singer will perform in Miami Beach, and then launch another international leg in February.

Bieber is currently enjoying praise for his collaboration with DJ Snake – the track “Let Me Love You” is currently hitting a great number of end of year “best of…” lists as a leading example of the year’s best pop offerings.

vSpeaking with Ellen the singer also revealed that he’s focused only on work for the foreseeable future. “I’m not dating anybody,” he said. “Single. I’m not really looking either.”
