Jason Aldean’s ‘High Noon Neon’ tour rolled into Columbia, MD on Thursday night for a sold out show at Merriweather Post Pavilion bringing with him Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina. Over twenty thousand fans filled the pavilion many getting there early to tailgate in the parking lots in preparation for an evening of some of the best country music out there. The tour kicked off in early May and is slated to run thru September 29th when it wraps up in Irvine, CA at FivePoint Amphitheatre. 2011’s American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina got things started for the night as the opening act on the bill. Lauren released her latest album, Road Less Traveled back in January of 2017 with the album hitting the number three spot on Billboard’s US Top Country Albums. The singer kicked off her set with “Georgia Peaches,” from her debut album Wildflower and quickly moved in to a cover of Guns n Roses’ “Paradise City.” There was a lot of fan interaction between Lauren and her fans during her set, during “Next Boyfriend” she invited a lucky fan on stage to dance with her, and at the end of “Three” after an emotional introduction she brought a small girl on stage holding her while she finished the song. Throughout her set she often took a moment to sign a fans hat or sign who was lucky enough to have gotten close to the stage.

Lauren Alaina Setlist: Georgia Peaches, Paradise City, Next Boyfriend, Doin’ Fine, Three, What If’s, and Road Less Traveled.

Luke Combs took the stage with red solo cup in hand singing crowd favorites like “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “One Number Away.” The set also included a medley consisting of “Take It Easy,” “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” and “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.” Luke Combs is set to release his upcoming album, This One’s For You Too on June 1st.

Luke Combs Setlist: Beer Never Broke My Heart, She Got the Best of Me, Don’t Tempt Me, Honky Tonk Highway / Boot Scootin’ Boogie, When It Rains It Pours, Beautiful Crazy, Take It Easy/Should’ve Been a Cowboy/Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow, One Number Away, Let the Moonshine, and Hurricane.

Recently crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year, Jason Aldean closed things out for the night proving to the 20 thousand plus in attendance that it’s a title well deserved. The singer played a 90 minute set consisting of over 20 songs that spanned his 13 year career. Jason Aldean recently released his latest album, Rearview Town in April and kicked the nights set off with “Gettin’ Warmed Up” from the new album. Rearview Town is Jason Aldean’s fourth consecutive number one album and has already produced the singels, “You Make It Easy,” and “Drowns the Whiskey” a duet with Miranda Lambert. The night’s set combined a mixture of new and old with “Drowns the Whiskey,” and “Rearview Town” from the new album being mixed in with songs like “Crazy Town,” “Tattoos on This Town,” “Amarillo Sky,” and “Fly Over States” before wrapping up with 2005’s “Hicktown.” Whether you’re a fan of country music or not, there’s no denying that Jason Aldean is one of the most talented musicians in the business.
