From Ashes to New and Ice Nine Kills are currently co-headlining on their March into Madness Tour, and they made a stop returning to The Tarheel in Jacksonville, NC just before wrapping up in Colorado Springs April 18.
There may not be time to catch this tour, but here’s why it was great, and you should see any of the bands that toured.
Stacked Bill
This tour had FOUR BANDS touring! Afterlife and Palisades joined From Ashes to New and Ice Nine Kills, with HAWK and Ethyrium joining the bill for a night of rowdy rock. Every band that walked on stage was well-received by fans, and each set grew more wild than the last, with Ice Nine Kills being the catalyst for metal fans of the night.
Variety
Whether you were able to catch this tour, or any one of the artists, there’s a great variety of music. With a mixture of Alternative, Rock, Metal, and Theatercore, all bands were vastly different than one another, yet cohesive.
Horror
Fans showed up supporting Ice Nine Kills in facepaint, fake blood, and costumes to up the creep factor. Ice Nine Kills’ set was perfect for any horror fan, with horror scores playing between sets. Butchered flesh, chainsaws, and a single red balloon donned the stage as everyone’s favorite murderers from the silver screen came on stage.
Moshing, crowd surfing, and the pit
There’s not much to describe on why you’d want to go see any of the artists on the bill, especially when all of them drew some gnarly mushers during their set. Jacksonville might inherently be a rowdy crowd, but the artists definitely brought it out of even the most mellow person in the venue.
