Dance Gavin Dance give Louisville fans everything they ask for, and more with I See Stars, ERRA, and Sianvar.

The hottest weekend of the summer in Louisville didn’t stop fans from lining up well before the doors opened for a chance to be in front of the stage. What a difference a year makes, Last year Dance Gavin Dance and Chon wowed fans with stellar performances. This year the band released their 8th studio album, Artificial Selection on June 8th and sold out the Mercury Ballroom well before today’s performance.

The crowd was more than ready for Dance Gavin Dance as the house lights dropped and the guys were greeted by a huge ovation. Without wasting much time, the guys launch into “Frozen One,” “Betrayed By The Game” and lead single off the Artificial Selection  album, “Midnight Crusade” and the evening is off to a fast start.

Over the next 90-minutes, Dance Gavin Dance sprinkles in little treats for everyone with songs covering much of their catalog. On stage, the powerful clean vocals by front-man Tillian Pearson are fantastically complimented by the screaming vocals of Jon Mess. The musicianship of Will Swan (guitar), Matt Mingus (drums), and Tim Feerick (bass) shine through, providing the intense breakdowns that get the mosh pit spinning.

Providing the main support this evening was American electronicore band I See Stars. Making sure the crowd is well warmed up I See Start performs an electrically charged performance that seems to grow in intensity as the evening progresses. Fronted by the endearing Devin Oliver who seems to be relishing every moment on stage with a contagious energy and a never-ending smile, I See Stars definitely shine tonight, delivering a great set of original music. I See Stars is vocalist Devin Oliver, guitarist Brent Allen, keyboardist and vocalist Andrew Oliver, and bass guitarist Jeff Valentine.

The last time ERRA was in Louisville, they were providing support for August Burns Red.  They definitely made an impression then as many fans, sporting their ERRA tour shirts, started crowd surfing almost as soon as the guys took the stage.  Delivering a solid Metalcore set of original music, ERRA proved to be a perfect complement to the evening.  ERRA is singer J.T. Cavey, Singer and guitarist Jesse Cash, bassist Conor Hesse, drummer Alex Ballew and guitarist Sean Price.

Opening the evening was American progressive rock supergroup Sianvar. Fronted by the energetic Donovan Melero (Hail the Sun) Sianvar delivered a scorching 30-minute set of original music including   “Stay Lost,” “Omniphobia,” “1100 Days,”  “Psychosis Succumbing from their debut full-length studio album Stay Lost. Sianvar is Donovan Melero, Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan, Stolas guitar player Sergio Medina, A Lot Like Birds bassist Michael Littlefield and A Lot Like Birds drummer Joe Arrington
