AFTERSHOCK 2019 was bigger and better than ever!

Danny Wimmer Presents did it again with another successful festival season. Aftershock was expanded to 3 days this year on Friday, October 11, Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, 2019. And it was an epic 3 days. The festival hit its all-time high attendance, with 97,500 people attending this year. It also made history by having bands like Staind, Tool, and Blink 182 play. These bands just recently got back into touring or making new long-awaited music. That helped to bring in many fans, old and new, from far and wide. With its perfect blend of artists. It always has something for everybody.

The VIP section this year changed up from years before. It definitely was an improvement from last year. VIP opened back up 2 entrances that we all missed the previous year and had upgraded the bathrooms from portable potties to mobile bathrooms complete with private stalls, sinks, mirrors, and a cooling system. They extended the VIP section closer to the main stage and moved the lounge area to an area with a big-screen television so you can watch the shows while relaxing. Guests were so happy and impressed with the improved VIP section that VIP tickets are already sold out for next year’s festival featuring Metallica as a two-night headliner. You can still get regular passes while they last at www.aftershcokfestival.com. You will need to secure your ticket ASAP; they are selling out fast.

Day 1 Kicked off with Ded on one of the 3 stages known as the Kolas Discovery stage. Kolas Discovery stage also featured bands Motionless In White, Halestorm, Beartooth, and Staind. Just to name a few. The main stage known as the Monster Energy Stage featured bands I Prevail, who put one of my favorite shows of the day. Also, Dropkick Murphys, Lamb Of God and the headliner for Friday, Slipknot. The smaller stage dubbed the Coors Capitol stage hosted The Pink Slips, Santa Cruz, Angel Dust, The Interrupters, Knocked Loose, and Sum 41.

Day 2 didn’t slow down. Guest were still full of energy and ready for a whole day of rocking out. The Monster energy stage kicked off the day with Dead Posey and featured Parlor Mob, Fishbone, Highly Suspect, Stone Temple pilots, Bring Me The Horizon, and headliner Blink 182 who put on a pretty awesome show. Kolas stage featured Sick Puppies, Badflower, Ghostmane, Bad Religion, Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie. The Coors Capital Stage hosted Spirit Adrift, H09909, Health, Andrew W. K. and Fidlar.

Day 3 again kicked off on the Monster Energy Stage with Blue Midnight. Throughout the rest of the day, attendees got to see Brkn Love, The Crystal Method, Gojira, A Day To Remember, and my personal favorite band and headliner TOOL from the main stage. TOOL put on an amazing show and experience for new fans, and old fans, just like they always do. This was the first show since the release of their long-awaited album Fear Inoculum. Aftershock attendees were the first to hear songs off the new album live. The Kolas Discovery Staged had New Language, Falling in Reverse, BabyMetal, Chevelle, and Korn. While the Coors Capital Stage had Evan Konrad, The Hu, Fire From The Gods, Fu Manchu, and super band Deadland Ritual. This year was a blast and I hope to see the number grow even larger next year. See you there!!
