Mika Zibanejad became the Rangers’ all-time leader in power-play goals and tied the team record with his ninth career hat trick as New York snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over Philadelphia Saturday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Zibanejad’s power-play goal in the second period gave him 117 for his career, passing Camille Henry and Chris Kreider. Artemi Panarin added two goals and an assist while Spencer Martin made 25 saves for his first win of the season.

How It Happened

First Period: Travis Konecny opened scoring for Philadelphia at 6:22, assisted by Trevor Zegras and Travis Sanheim. The Rangers responded with four straight goals. Artemi Panarin tied it 1-1 at 7:05 from Vincent Trocheck and Alexis Lafreniere. Mika Zibanejad gave New York a 2-1 lead at 7:26, assisted by J.T. Miller and Braden Schneider. Brennan Othmann made it 3-1 at 8:25 from Will Cuylle. The Rangers led 4-1 after one period.
