Will Loomis’ Clean

Will Loomis' Clean

Will Loomis has been playing the guitar since the ripe old age of 7. He’s done the high school band thing. He’s played with some musicians that have played with world famous musicians. Now he’s released an album with just his name on it and it’s phenomenal.

It’s easy to compare his music to musicians like Iggy Pop ad Loud Reed, especially when you lend an ear to the track “Home”. His sound has an 80s feel to it, something that is easily recognizable in songs like “Take Heart”. This one will have you comparing his sound to Talking Heads.

Appropriately named, this album has a really clean sound. Loomis’ vocals are all natural and need to gimmicks. It feels like  80s new wave and rock influence each of these songs. If you’ve been known to enjoy the sounds of bands like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and Joy Division, this new LP from Loomis will find a welcome home in your music collection. It’s melancholy at times but feels upbeat and motivational nonetheless.

“Panic And Fear” is one of the best songs on this album, with a great beat and just a raw feel to it. It’s laced with clever lyrics and thought-provoking images. Every song on here deserves five-stars.
