The World’s Loudest Month festival series kicked off this past weekend in Jacksonville, FL with Welcome to Rockville. The festival which is sponsored by Monster Energy was hosted at Metropolitan Park, and once again set attendance records as the festival continues to grow each year.
Spread across three stages 42 bands performed over the course of the weekend giving fans the opportunity to see some of the biggest names in rock/metal. Along with all the music, the festival also features plenty of vendors for fans to shop at, as well as chances to meet some of the bands during special signing events.
New this year was the debut of Eat.Rock.Repeat, which featured local culinary geniuses serving up fan favorite comfort foods. Fans could quench their thirst with a variety of craft beer vendors on site as well as at the Jack Daniels Experience.
Soaring temperatures and humidity didn’t stop fans from getting to the festival early and watching some of the emerging bands take to the stages. Bands like, Badflower, The Charm The Fury, Goodbye June, and Cover Your Tracks had early starts over the weekend but that didn’t stop them from getting the crowd ready for the rest of the day.
Saturday saw headliners, Pierce the Veil, A Perfect Circle, and Soundgarden close out the days events on their respective stages. The highlight of the day had to be A Perfect Circle, fans crammed into the Metropolitan Stage are to try to catch a glimpse of the band thru the thick fog that filled the stage. The band played their new song “Hourglass” which gave fans a small taste of whats to come from the upcoming album.

Sunday saw bands such as, Nothing More, Three Days Grace, In This Moment, Motionless in White, Seether, and Gojira with the days headliners being, Amon Amarth, Chevelle, and Def Leppard. Highlights on Sunday had to be the return of Papa Roach and In This Moment who both returned to the festival this year as they prep for their upcoming releases. Other notables of the day would be Motionless in White and Gojira.
