Vendetta Red's Quinceañera

Seattle alternative band Vendetta Red just released their first album since 2005, Quinceañera. Their music stems from several influences, and melds into a unique style of their own. From the album work, to each track, this album has a 90’s punk feel, which makes this 90’s baby happy.

The very first track, “Swim,” is a great introduction to the album as it begins “dialing into” the music with assumed radio frequencies. The heavy guitar and vocals with the lyrics “we are the rising tide,” makes this a great personal anthem.

“The Dreamers” opens with a great guitar rhythm. This track is great to listen to while multitasking. It has a great syncretic melody and guitar solos that gives this track a great energy.

“Saw Something, Said Something” is another favorite track. It balances a great melodic sound with screaming lyrics that makes it a great listen that will have you dancing with it. The transition mid song to a Hawaiian bluesy riff after the lyric “cause no ones gonna cry for you,” gives it a poignant focus to the lyrics.

Vendetta Red has a talent with fusing music genres to fit their sound. “Birmingham” has that perfect fusion with a Baroque style harpsichord opening and closing the song.

Quinceañera releases April 13, 2018 and they will be launching a tour shortly after, playing with Saving Abel and Puddle of Mudd. Follow their Facebook page for album and tour updates. Www.facebook.com/vendettared
