Thirty Seconds to Mars At Madison Square Garden 6-20-2018

Written By: Kevin Wilson

On Wednesday, June 20th, 30 Seconds To Mars played NYC’s iconic Madison Square Garden. They are currently on tour supporting their fifth studio album, America. For this show, 30 Seconds to Mars offered a  more intimate setting where groups of select fans were stationed at the foot of the small square stage and at times were pulled up to participate in dance battles and singing contests which gave the fans a more memorable experience to take home with them. The interactive stage had a series of moving LED screens which would surround the two musicians and at one point during Great Wide Open, Jared appeared on top of the moving screens while his brother, Shannon’s drum set was moved to the foot of the stage below. Even with the absence of longtime guitarist, Tomo Miličević, who left right before the tour started, the Leto brothers were able to fill the stage full of energy as a duo. Closing out the show with Closer to the Edge, Leto welcome fans to join him on stage for the final song
