Them Evils - Rollin' Stoned and Livin' Free

Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free by Them Evils was released May 04th, 2018 by Burning Records. This is the third release from Them Evils and downloads are available on iTunes for your listening pleasure. The band contains a trio of dynamic young men who have exploded onto the scene with their classic Rock and Roll sound. The new album has a throwback vibe that takes you back to the old days, but it also has a modern edge that today’s music listener can appreciate.

Los Angeles based, and growing in popularity, the band have already done more than 100 shows in the last few years. They were also invited to play on the ShipRocked Cruise that sailed out of Galveston, Texas on January 26th 2019. It is there where I had the pleasure of meeting and watching the band play. They are high energy, fun, and really exciting to watch. If you can get to a show, I highly recommend checking them out. I instantly became a fan, and I think you will too.

Immediately after watching their set on ShipRocked, I went to my room and downloaded their new album. The album itself is short. It only has 6 songs, but it is vibrant and full of songs that take me back to a time when music was wild, and Rock and Roll was a way of life. Inspired by bands like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin, the inspiration really comes through in the vocals and instrumentals on Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free.

Prior to this album, the band have released Two EPs. These include their debut album Cold Black Love (2015) and self-titled Them Evils (2016). Band members include Jordan Griffen- vocals/guitar, Jake Massanari – Bass, and David Delaney II – Drums.

Them Evils – Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free Track Listing:

 “Got Me Rockin’

 “She Got Nothin’

 “Gets Me High”

 “Have One On Me”

 “Untold”

 “Practice What You Preach”

I really dig all the songs on the album. They are consistent with the bands style and previous releases.  But, if I had to choose a favorite, “Got Me Rockin” would be my pick. It features wicked guitar riffs and a sexy bass that makes me want to get my groove on in a really naughty way, and I dig that.

I give this album a 7 out of 10.
