The Refusers’ Disobey

The Refusers' Disobey

The Refusers are a Seattle band led by singer-songwriter (and former Wall Street insider) Michael Belkin. Disobey is a call to arms and a wake-up call. It’s a collection of songs about government corruption, big brother, and all the things that should be making you angry right now.

Belkin’s vocals make you listen; the lyrics should make you angry and rebellious. The instrumentation is spot on. A blend of metal with a punk edge. Disobey is an album for anyone feeling disillusioned in the current state of America.

“Why Do They Lie” stands out. This is a song about the corruption in big pharma, the killing of people through prescription medications. These songs will open up your eyes and your mind. Stop being blind – this band is trying to help you see the lies and corruption.

The title track, “Disobey,” has a great vintage punk sound. However, the song with the best name is “Fake News.” This track reminds you that you can’t always believe what you hear or even what you see.

This is a great album fighting back against government B.S. If you’re sick of it, you’ll love this 5-star album due out sometime this year.
