The Outlaws & Renegades Tour Richmond, VA 3-17-2019

The Outlaws & Renegades tour featuring The Charlie Daniels Band, Travis Tritt, and special guest The Cadillac Three made a stop at Richmond’s Altria Theater on Sunday night. The tour kicked off in early March and is scheduled to run until August 25th, the tour will also have Copper Chief, Love & Theft, and The Marshall Tucker Band making appearances on select dates. Fans can purchase tickets to the remaining tour dates HERE.

Getting things started for the night was Nashville’s The Cadillac Three. The three-piece band consists of Jaren Johnston on guitars and vocals, Kelby Ray on bass and steel guitar, and Neil Mason on drums. The band released their latest album Legacy back in 2017, the album produced the single “Dang If We Didn’t”. For a complete list of The Cadillac Three’s tour dates, fans can go HERE.

Up next was Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels who put on an energetic ten song set. With a discography spanning nearly fifty years, it cant be easy to put together a setlist every night, but the crowd was very pleased with the set for the night that consisted of hits like “Long Haired Country Boy,” “Texas,” “The Legend of Wooley Swamp,” and closed out with the classic hit, “Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Charlie made one’s fans night as he tossed her his bow during “Devil Went Down to Georgia,” a rare souvenir I’m sure she will cherish for a very long time. Charlie Daniels released his latest album, Beau Weevils – Songs in the Key of E back in October of 2018. The album is a collaboration of James Stroud, Billy Crain, and Charlie Hayward. Fans can purchase the album HERE.

Closing out the night was multi-Grammy Award winning artists Travis Tritt. Dressed in black Travis took to the stage and brought the crowd to their feet as he kicked off his headlining performance. Travis played roughly a ninety-minute set that included hit after hit. Travis has been doing a lot of acoustic shows and tours the past couple of years and those shows are incredible, but there’s something about the energy he brings to the stage when he has his whole band behind him. Fans love Travis Tritt and Travis Tritt loves his fans as he interacts with them throughout the show smiling and winking at them. Fans can keep up with all that is Travis Tritt HERE.
