Tank and the Bangas bring the house down with an unreal live performance with support from Sweet Crude.

It was about this time last year that Tank and The Bangas blew into Louisville, completely selling out their show in a matter of days disappointing many fans who were not quick on the trigger. Their return to Louisville saw Tank and the Bangas performing for a larger crowd at Headliners Music Hall with the same result, another Sold-Out show.

Bringing their own unique blend of hip hop, soul, and a bit of spoken word, Tank and The Bangas provide a unique concert experience. The band from New Orleans found major success when found major success when they won the NPR Tiny Desk Concert contest in 2017, and they have been flying high ever since!

Playing the staples of their catalogue, such as “Quick and Butterflies,” those who are previously familiar with their repertoire will find a certain comfort with their set. No Tank and The Bangas show is the same, however, and the refreshing differences in the familiar songs make every show an interesting experience. In Louisville, a cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” provided the most notable moment of the show. The entire crowd at Headliners Music Hall went crazy for the unique rendition of the rock classic, with a performance that was bursting at the seams with raw energy and passion. Tank and The Bangas are always a pleasure to watch, and they are sure to have a very bright future ahead of them.

Southern Louisiana based Sweet Crude provided the main support for the evening. With a fun and lively set of original, progressive music half in English and half in French Sweet crude proved to be the perfect compliment to Tank and the Bangas this evening.
