Styx At Virginia Credit Union Live In Richmond, VA 6-21-2019

What better way to kick off the first day of summer as well as the weekend then with a night of classic rock from with Styx? Styx are currently touring in support of their sixteenth studio album, The Mission which was released back in 2017. The curent leg of the tour will wrap up on August 10th in Washington, MO, but fans can expect to see the guys out on the road thru the end of the year. A full list of tour dates can be found HERE.

With no opening band Styx took to the stage at eight kicking off their twenty-one song set with “Gone Gone Gone” from their 2017 release, The Mission. In total five songs from the latest release made the night’s setlist. It didnt take long for the guys to get into the classic hits that fans have come to know over the years with the next three songs being, “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights),” “The Grand Illusion,” and “Lady.” Other fan favorites that made the set for the night were, “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man),” “Suite Madame Blue,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” and “Come Sail Away.” The night wrapped up with a two song encore consisting of two of the band’s biggest hits, “Mr. Roboto,” and “Renegade.” With a carreer spanning nearly fifty years, the guys in Styx show no signs of letting up anytime soon and based on the turnout for the nights shows the fans are more then ok with that.
