Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators at The Fillmore 10/2/2018

Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators played The Fillmore Silver Spring on Tuesday night in support of their latest release, Living The Dream. The current leg of the tour is set to wrap up on October 16th in Los Angeles, with Slash returning to Guns n Roses for a month-long tour of Asia during November.

Getting things started for the night were Stone Horses. Some in the crowd may have noticed a couple of familiar faces in the band as Charm City Devils’ John Allen and Jason Heiser fill the roles of vocalist and drums in the new group. The band released their self-titled debut EP back in August and have been playing in the mid-Atlantic area in support of it. The guys played a short six song, thirty minute set that showcased some of the new material like, “End of the World,” “Flirting With the Devil,” and “Reckless Ways.”

Slash and company took to the stage just before nine to a packed house, fans had filled the floor as well as the balcony trying to get the best vantage point. Wearing his patented top hat, leather pants, and blue bandanna Slash kicked things off with “Avalon,” “Halo,” and “Standing in the Sun” for the start of a twenty-one song set that lasted for nearly two hours. The night’s set list featured six tracks from the latest album, Living The Dream, only one classic Guns n Roses track, and “Doctor Alibi” which was recorded with the late Lemmy Kilmister. Other highlights from the set included, “Bent to Fly,” “Back from Cali,” and “Anastasia,” which closed out the night.
