Shinedown played to a packed UMBC Event Center on Thursday night as part of their ‘Attention Attention’ world tour. The tour kicked off on February 20th and is slated to wrap up on May 22nd in Kansas City, MO. Along for the ride are Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria, making for a great lineup. Touring in support of their latest self-titled release, Asking Alexandria got things started with a nine song set consisting mostly of material from the latest album.
Asking Alexandria Setlist: Into the Fire, Where Did It Go?, Run Free, The Death of Me, Vultures, Moving On, Eve, When the Lights Come On, and Alone in a Room.
Closing out the night was the band everyone had come out to see, Shinedown. Touring in support of their 2018 release, Attention Attention the guys wasted no time showing fans what they were in for with the opening song “Devil” was filled with plenty of flames thru out the song. From there the guys moved into “Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom),” “Enemies.” In what has become a Shinedown custom at the start of “Enemies” vocalist Brent Smith came down to the edge of the stage to shake hands with fans, security, photographers, as well as anyone else lucky enough to be in the barricade. Overall five songs from Attention Attention made the set list which mixed new with classic Shinedown hits like “Bully,” “45,” “Cut the Cord,” “Sound of Madness,” and the Lynyrd Skynyrd cover “Simple Man.”
The night’s stage setup was a little different as there was a smaller stage set up at the end of the walk way that split the floor. The guys performed half of the night’s set at the smaller front stage before returning to the main stage to close out the night with a three song encore.
