Prag 83's Fragments of Silence
Prag 83 is a German singer-songwriter with dark-folk sounds that finds inspiration for his music from the literary works of Franz Kafka. The creative multi-instrumentalist behind Prag 83 is Herr K.

Fragments of Science is Prag 83’s newest album, which released in early March through Nordvis Records. His previous release, Metamorphoses, came out in 2016.

Fragments of Silence is an eight-track collection of mysterious and moody music that starts with “Animae.” This track is a sweet and mellow introductory track of only a little over two minutes in length. It’s delicate, and it makes you want to hear what will follow.

The vocals on “Passers-by” stand out for a couple of reasons. First, the male vocals have somewhat of a gothic feel to them. They are deep and dark, mysterious. The female vocals add more innocence to the song and give it a lighter feel, almost a Celtic sound, in fact.

“Roads” is the track that will stick in your head long after you listen. This song, as with most of the songs on this album, has a meditative quality. It’s relaxing, but it also makes you think and get deep into your mind.

This album gets 6 out of 5 stars. It’s beautiful, intelligent, and worthy of owning. These songs are not just random words thrown together, but stories being told.
