P!nk brought her Beautiful Trauma world tour to the nation’s capital this week for back to back sold out shows at Capital One Arena. Side Stage Magazine was lucky enough to be on hand for night one. The tour kicked off March 1st in Phoenix, AZ and is slated to run thru June 1st when it wraps up at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA.

Coming off their recent appearance at this year’s Coachella Festival, Bleachers got things started for the night with an eight song set. Most of the night’s set came from the 2014 release, Strange Desire with only a couple of tracks from 2017’s Gone Now making the list. Also included in the set was the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way” with the night wrapping up with “Don’t Take the Money” from the band’s latest release.

Bleachers Setlist:

Wild Heart
Everybody Lost Somebody
Rollercoaster
Alfie’s Song (Not So Typical Love Song)

Touring in support of her seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma which was released back in 2017 and landed at the number one spot on the US Billboard 200, P!nk performed a 21 song set that kicked off with 2001’s “Get the Party Started” which saw the singer suspended from the ceiling swinging from a large chandelier.

From there P!nk returned to the stage for a choreographed dance routine during the title track of her latest release Beautiful Trauma, followed by “Just Like a Pill” from Missundaztood.

Also included in the nights set were the duets “Revenge” and “Just Give Me a Reason” which saw her duet partners take the stage as a balloon of Eminem and a tv screen that featured Nate Russ.

Other noteable highlights of the night included the No Doubt cover of “Just a Girl,” and the classic Nirvana cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

During the final song of the night P!nk hooked herself back up to the harness and flew over the crowd performing backflips all while singing never missing a note. P!nk then returned for one final encore performing the song “Glitter in the Air”.

By the end of the night fans had been treated to nearly two hours of an unforgettable performance that truly highlighted the talent that P!nk is, from her crystal clear vocals to her athleticism and acrobatic moves.
