Panic! At The Disco Releases New Music Video For "High Hopes"

Grammy-nominated band Panic! At The Disco today released a new music video for track “High Hopes”. Directed by Brendan Walter and Mel Soria, the thrilling video sees frontman Brendon Urie bring the artwork for the band’s critically acclaimed new album Pray For The Wicked to life. Watch it HERE.
Pray For The Wicked was released on June 22 via Fueled By Ramen/DCD2 Records and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, marking the band’s second consecutive No. 1 debut. The album also debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in 22 countries, and launched with 180,000 equivalent album units earned, 151,000 of which were traditional album sales. Both figures represent the biggest week for an alternative rock album in 2018, according to Billboard. According to Nielsen Music, the album saw the fifth-largest week for a vinyl effort since the company began tracking sales in 1991. Pray For The Wicked is available digitally HERE and physically HERE.

P!ATD recently continued its hold on American TV airwaves with explosive performance of “High Hopes” at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. Leading up to the albums release the band made appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, NBC’s The Voice. Following the release of Pray For The Wicked, the band performed “Say Amen (Saturday Night)”, “High Hopes”, and fan favorite“I Write Sins Not Tragedies” on Today Show’s Citi Summer Concert Series in New York’s Famed Rockefeller Plaza.

Earlier this month, Panic! At The Disco wrapped the first leg of their Pray For The Wicked Tour in support of the album, which sold out multiple venues including Madison Square Garden in New York City and STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Critics were quick to praise the ambitious stage show and Urie’s electrifying performance, raving, “Everyone claims to leave it all on stage, but Panic! At The Disco actually does it” (Substream Magazine), “[Urie] has the kind of big personality you couldn’t imagine on a small stage – it needs an arena to breathe accordingly without being restricted” (Dallas Observer), and “He’s a mix of Jagger and Sinatra, with a pinch of Cirque du Soleil panache and an unmistakable gratitude for his lot in life” (Las Vegas Review Journal).

Fresh off of headlining the UK’s Reading and Leeds Festival 2018, Panic! At The Disco will return to the road for a run of international dates visiting Australia, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines, and Mexico this October. In January, the band will embark on the second leg of the Pray For The Wicked Tour of North America. The 28-city leg, which kicks off on January 10, 2019 in Buffalo, NY, and wraps on February 20, 2019 in Sacramento, CA, will feature support from Two Feet. A complete list of upcoming live dates and ticket information can be found HERE.

Urie recently launched Highest Hopes Foundation (HHF) – an umbrella foundation created to support the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights for all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity. The first of many donations to come, Urie pledged a one million dollar donation to GLSEN to provide resources, training, and support to students working to created student-led GSA clubs in their K-12 schools last week. Panic! At The Disco will be allocating $1 of every ticket from the U.S. dates of the band’s Pray For The Wicked Tour to HHF and in the coming days and months, Urie and the foundation will announce upcoming donations and activations with a variety of charitable organizations.
