With their new album slated for a March release, Pale Monsters has dropped a single onto Soundcloud for fans (and hopefully people that will become new fans) to check out before the official arrival date for Are You Feeling Alive? gets here.
The band, which is from Boston, is Chris Mulvey on vocals/guitar, Mike Ward on synthesizer/guitar, Kevin McGrath on bass/vocals, and Travis Richter on drums/percussion. Together they create a new wave sound that is sure to make you feel nostalgiac.
“All This Time We Wait” has been available on Soundcloud for a few months now, and it is worth listening to, especially if you enjoy synthpop, new wave sounds. It’s a catchy song with a great vibe that will make you dance. The vocals have this interesting accent to them that’s hard to place but easy to listen to.
What’s most notable about this song, aside from the fact that it rocks, is the laser gun sound in one part of it. It just adds to the new wave appeal of it all. If you’re a fan of the music on soundtracks from the 80s, like the movies Pretty In Pink, The Breakfast Club, and even St. Elmo’s Fire, you’ll dig this track. Give it a listen.
