Ace of Spades, one of Sacramento’s best venues for shows, hosted P.O.D with Nonpoint, Islander, and Nine Shrines on June 6, 2019. Doors had opened at 5 pm and the crowd rolled in and the drinks started pouring. By the time P.O.D got on stage, the house was packed, and the party was popping.
Nine Shrines had a nice fan base there and they kicked some butt. Great music and energy. Definitely, a band to check out further. Islander always gets the crowd pumped. Mikey (Vocals) is super high energy and very entertaining to watch, that is if you can find him. He is known for jumping in the crowds and climbing all over the stage. It makes for a very interesting show and keeps the crowd engaged.
Nonpoint came on and the crowd was pumped. Nonpoint is one of those bands who has been in the business for a long time and it shows. Their stage presence is strong and confident. And their timeless music made it easy for all ages to sing along to and enjoy. Same deal with P.O.D., being another seasoned band, they have confidence you don’t see in some younger bands.
P.O.D opened with “SOUNDBOY KILLA” to get the crowd jumping. They played several classics throughout their set. The crowd favorites were songs “BOOM’, “YOUTH OF A NATION”, “SATELLITE”, and “ALIVE”. This was one of the last stops on this tour. It finishes up June 9, 2019, in Pasadena, California. If you can make it to a future show, you definitely should.
