The Offspring Set To Play The World's Loudest Month Festivals

The World’s Loudest Month is quickly approaching and with an incredible line-up of musicians this year I am thrilled to bring you some artist highlights directly from Side Stage Magazine. Let’s take a look at one of this year’s headliners: The Offspring.

The Offspring is an American punk rock band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, bassist Greg Kriese., lead guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman and drummer Pete Parada.

To date they have released nine studio albums and their tenth is currently in production for release some time this year. Known for their certified platinum albums, Ixnay on the Hombre and the five times certified platinum Americana. The boys are gearing up once again for an insane tour season.

An interesting fact about the group is that lead singer, Dexter, holds three different degrees in science, one of which is a PhD in molecular biology. Dexter was quoted saying, “Ten years ago, I was like, I can’t imagine doing this when I’m 50,” he says. “Now I’m like, hell yes! 75! Let’s do it!, You can’t sing about the same things as you did when you were 20, it would be ridiculous to sing about, I don’t know, being in the quad,” he says, but adds that “You can’t really write about mortgage payments or stuff like that … but you can talk about, let’s make the world a better place” when he was asked about juggling jobs and a music career.
