Following the success of this fall’s 20th Anniversary RETURN TO ROOTS tour, Max & Iggor Cavalera are pleased to announce an upcoming second leg of the tour, hitting additional markets from February 9, 2017 through early March. Several new cities will witness the legendary Sepultura classic album Roots performed in its entirety each night by Max, Iggor, Marc Rizzo (Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Ill Niño) and Tony Campos (Soulfly, Static-X, Ministry, Fear Factory).
Kicking off in Las Vegas, the tour will feature support from Immolation and Full Of Hell. RETURN TO ROOTS second leg tickets are available beginning today, so visit your local venues online or at the box office for ticketing information. www.maxandiggorreturntoroots.com will be fully updated this evening and will include ticket links then.
In addition, very special Meet & Greet passes can be purchased at the merch booth each night. Fans will be given the opportunity to take a photo with Max and Iggor, and they will each sign a Roots CD, cassette or vinyl. Max & Iggor Cavalera are the original founding members of influential RIAA Gold-Certified Brazilian heavy metal legends Sepultura, and specifically the team behind the band’s early albums, including seminal releases Arise, Chaos A.D. and Roots. Since the band’s formation over 30 years ago, the Cavalera brothers have each seen unparalleled successes in the music industry. Max’s more recent work with Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy (also featuring Iggor) and Killer Be Killed, in addition to Iggor’s project MIXHELL, proves the lasting power of the Cavalera legacy.
Just prior to tour kick off, Rhino Records will release a six-CD box set ($39.98) of classic Sepultura records, entitled The Roadrunner Albums. The collection will also be released on vinyl as a six-LP set with each album pressed in a different color ($99.98). The collection combines Sepultura’s debut EP Bestial Devastation with the group’s first six studio albums: Morbid Visions (1986), Schizophrenia (1987), Beneath The Remains (1989), Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993), and Roots (1996). The set hits stores on January 27, and pre-orders will be available soon.
