Anthrax and Killswitch Engage brought their co-headlining ‘Killthrax’ tour to Baltimore’s Rams Head Live on Thursday night. The winter tour kicked off January 25th in Montreal and wrapped up March 4th in Portland Maine.

This leg of the tour sees Denver’s Havok join the duo as the support act. Havok consists of David Sanchez on vocals/guitars, Pete Webber on drums, Reece Scruggs on lead guitar, and Nick Schendzielos on bass. The band is currently touring in support of their upcoming fourth studio release, Conformicide which is due to be released on March 10th. The night’s setlist saw three new tracks make the seven song set. The night kicked off with 2011’s “Fatal Intervention,” and wrapped up with “Intention to Deceive” from the upcoming release. One of the original ’80s thrash metal bands and a member of the “Big Four”, Anthrax was up next. With a career spanning 37 years and 11 studio albums under their belt the band had plenty of material to choose from for their 11 song set. Only one song from the bands latest release, For All Kings made the nights setlist. It didn’t take fans long to get the mosh pits and crowd surfing started to tracks like, “Caught in a Mosh,” “Madhouse,” “I Am the Law,” and “Antisocial,”. The night wrapped up with the 1987 track “Indians” from the album Among the Living. This spring will see Anthrax return to the road with Testament, Behemoth, Lamb of God, and Slayer on Slayer’s farewell tour. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased HERE.

Swapping slots thru out the tour, it was Killswitch Engage’s turn to close out the night. The band is currently still touring in support of their seventh studio album Incarnate which produced the singles, “Strength of Mind,” and “Hate By Design” which both made the nights setlist. The set started with “Rose of Sharyn” from 2004’s The End of Heartache album and wrapped up with Anthrax’s Joey Belladonna returning to the stage to join Jesse Leach and the rest of Killswitch Engage for the Dio cover of “Holly Diver”. The rest of the set was evenly spread across the band’s discography and included songs such as, “My Curse,” “A Bid Farewell,” “My Last Serenade,” and “The End of Heartache,” which saw guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz head to the side bar to share a shot with fans.

Killswitch Engage will be hitting the road again in April for a few U.S. dates before spending the summer over in Europe. Fans can also catch the band at two stops of the World’s Loudest Month Festivals when the guys will make stops at this year’s Fort Rock and Welcome to Rockville Festivals.
