It was a full house at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD as the third night of “The Shadow’ tour featuring Kamelot, Delain, and Battle Beast made a stop on Wednesday night. The tour kicked off on April 16th in Louisville, KY and will wrap up on May 13th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Fans can purchase tickets HERE.
Battle Beast was first up for the evening, this was the bands second time playing The Fillmore and fans were quick to get their fists up in the air as Noora Louhimo and crew kicked things off with “Straight to the Heart”. Battle Beast are currently touring in support of their latest album, Bringer of Pain which was released back in 2017. The night’s set consisted pretty much of material from Bringer of Pain with the exception of “Black Ninja” from 2013’s self-titled release.

Up next were the Netherland’s Delain. Delain’s last release was A Decade of Delain: Live at Paradiso, a live album that was released back in 2017. Delain played a to song set with the bulk of the material coming from 2016’s Moonbathers release. One notable thing from the night’s performance was the absence of bassist Otto Schimmelpenninck van der Oije who is having to sit out this leg of the tour, but will be rejoining the band in the near future.

Closing out the night was Tampa’s Kamelot. Kamelot are currently out touring in support of their latest release The Shadow Theory. The set kicked off with “Phantom Divine (Shadow Empire)” with Lauren Hart joining the band on backing vocals. “RavenLight,” and “Amnesiac” were the only other new tracks that made the 14 song setlist. Lauren Hart returned to the stage for “March of Mephisto,” as well as for the encore “Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy),” and both Lauren and Delain’s Charlotte Wessels joined Kamelot for “Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife).”
