Jordan Alexander is a pop star in the making, and she has a wonderful voice and great vocal range. Listening to her is easy to do and her songs are great. Her single, “Cool,” isn’t my favorite though.
There are many elements of “Cool” that I like. The song has a great beat and I really enjoy the lyrics. However, I found it a bit weird the way the sound completely shifts gears when Jordan takes it to the chorus. It’s almost like she took two different songs that didn’t really go together and tried to mash them together. It’s the chorus I am not a fan of.
However, I am not one to let a single song be the judge when it comes to whether or not I like an artist. There is obviously something promising about Jordan Alexander since she was named as a “Queer Ones To Watch in 2016” by Diva Magazine. She was also asked to join Bif Naked on her latest tour.
So, listening to other songs on The Lonely Hearts Club EP told me that not all of her songs have this strange mix of sounds to them. I especially enjoyed the title track. If you’re in need of a comparison if you like Halsey I would suggest checking out Jordan Alexander.
