In Flames Release, I, The Mask Album Out Now and New Single, "Call My Name"
 
Legendary Swedish visionaries IN FLAMES release theirthirteenth studio album, titled I, The Mask via Nuclear Blast (worldwide, excl. North America) and E7M(Eleven Seven Music, North America) available HERE on digital and on deluxe CD with an exclusive bonus track, “Not Alone.” Additionally, the band is releasing limited edition vinyl that includes aJesterhead pop-up, available to order now and shipped March 15.
 
The 12-track album features a range of the band’s signature sound starting with the first track, “Voices”setting the tone with prominent guitar riffs and loud vocals that reflect their heavy roots on singles, “I, The Mask,” and “I Am Above” amongst others such as, “Deep Inside” and new single Call My Name.”
 
 
“I love the act of creating something from nothing and then getting to travel the world and play these songs and see how they affect people. It’s extremely rewarding to hear how a certain song moves someone and then you talk to someone else and learn that it affected them in a profoundly different way. The dynamic between the creator and the fans and what they bring to the table is such an amazing feeling, so that’s a big part of our drive.  “For Battles I wrote a lot of the material at home first, but for this one, Anders and I really wanted to just get in a room together and see where it would take us. I think this process worked really well because a lot of the lyrics fed off the music, or Anders would come up with a really powerful line and it would inspire a riff, so there was a lot of symbiosis between us in the songwriting.” – Björn Gelotte, lead guitar
 
The record reunites them with multi GRAMMY nominated producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Motörhead) who also produced 2016’s Battles. Additionally, the album is mixed by GRAMMY award mixer, Chris Lord-Alge (Cheap Trick, Linkin Park) and mastered by GRAMMY award mastering engineer, Ted Jensen (Pantera, Eagles, Guns N’ Roses).

In Flames will celebrate the release of I, The Mask today, on March 1 at The Fillmore in Philadelphiaon their North America tour with Within Temptation concluding on March 19 at The Wiltern. Additionally, the band has a one-off date on March 7 with All That Remains during this run and a one-off headlining date in Boise on March 13 at The Knitting Factory.
