Greta Van Fleet played to a sold out crowd at MECU Pavilion in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Tuesday night. The tour, ‘March of the Peaceful Army’ is in support of the band’s latest release, Anthem of the Peaceful Army which was released in the summer of 2018. The band recently won a Grammy for Best Rock Album for their re-release of From the Fires. The current tour will wrap up in Madison, WI on June 4th, and fans can purchase to tickets to the remaining dates HERE. Following the current leg of the tour, the guys will head to Europe and Australia for most of the summer before returning to the states for a fall tour that will kick off on September 21st in Kansas City, MO and wrap up October 15th in Philadelphia, PA. The year will wrap up with another European tour thru the month of November where the guys will hit the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, and Germany.
The guys put on an amazing nine-song set before returning to the stage for a two-song encore consisting of “Black Smoke Rising” and “When The Curtain Falls”. There’s no hiding the talent that Greta Van Fleet possess with a Grammy already under their belt and four number one singles in such a short time. The sold-out crowd was treated to the throwback sounds of a true bluesy rock show with a spectacular light show to go along with it. Having followed this band over the years it’s amazing to see how much they’ve grown and leaves one to wonder how much further they can go. There are a lot of veteran bands out there who could take a note from Greta Van Fleet on how to get back to basics and simply mesmerize a crowd.
