Godsmack and Staind kicked off their summer tour on the 18th in St. Louis, MO, Saturday night the tour made its way to Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA for the 4th stop of the tour. Nothing More, who were originally slated as special guest for the tour had to drop and were replaced with Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys. Godsmack also announced their fall tour dates this week which will see them out on the road thru the end of October with Atreyu and I Prevail.
Godsmack released their eighth studio album, Lighting Up the Sky back in February, it had been five long years since fans had new music from the band. The album quickly rose to the number one spot on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums and the number three spot for Top Rock Albums. Fans can purchase Lighting Up the Sky HERE.
Saturday marked the fourth night of the Best of Times World Tour, and fans filled Jiffy Lube Live for a great night of music. Godsmack’s last appearance at Jiffy Lube Live was back in 2018, and fans were amped up for one of the best in the business to make their return. Lines formed early as fans waited for doors to open and get into the pavilion.
Mix Master Mike of the legendary Beastie Boys got things underway as fans continued to poor into the pavilion. The famed DJ kept the crowd entertained and warmed up for roughly thirty-five minutes prior to Staind taking the stage.
Staind is set to release their first studio album in over twelve years at the end of the summer tour with Godsmack. The highly anticipated album titled Confessions of the Fallen has already produced one single, “Lowest in Me,” which was the opening track in the band’s fifteen song set. Staind is a band that always sounds amazing live, and on Saturday night they didn’t disappoint as they played hit after hit. Staind’s hour and fifteen minute set included all the fan favorites, “Outside,” “So Far Away,” and “It’s Been Awhile” all making the list before wrapping things up with “Mudshovel.”

Lowest in Me, Not Again, Just Go, Home, Eyes Wide Open, Fade, Something to Remind You,
Epiphany, Right Here, Outside, Wannabe, So Far Away,

Godsmack closed things out for the evening and despite temperatures in the nineties the guys decided to turn both the volume and heat up to eleven. As the pyro went off dropping the curtain the guys kicked off their hour and forty-five minute set with “When Legends Rise.” There was no looking back or slowing down from there as next up on the list was “Cryin’ Like a Bitch!!” followed by a flame filled “1000hp.” From their the fans were treated to some new music off of Lighting Up the Sky with “You and I,” and “Soul on Fire.” With a title like “Soul on Fire” of course there would have to be some flames and there were plenty thru out the song. “What About Me,” and “Surrender” were the other new tracks to make the setlist. The overall production on this tour is amazing with more pyro on “Something Different,” “Awake,” and during the drum battle between Sully and Shannon for “Batalla de los tambores.” At the end the guys wrapped up with a confetti filled “I Stand Alone” as they thanked the fans for twenty-five years of support. Overall this is a must see summer tour. Fans can purchase tickets and various VIP packages HERE.
