“HandClap” – the first single from Fitz and The Tantrums’ new, self-titled album – has been certified Gold by the RIAA and has entered the Top 10 at Hot AC radio. It impacts Pop radio on December 5 and has already been added by SiriusXM’s Hits 1 Channel. The track has over 27 million plays on Spotify and views of the accompanying video exceed seven million.
Heard in Fiat’s “Room With a View” and “Toy Car” ads, “HandClap” topped Billboard & Clio’s Top TV Commercials chart for the months of May, June, August and September. The song was recently featured in promos for ABC’s American Music Awards. “HandClap” is featured in promos for Bravo’s “Timber Creek Lodge,” which premieres on December 5, in ESPN’s coverage of the 2016-17 College Basketball season and in the campaign introducing Amazon Music Unlimited. The band has performed the single on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Good Morning America” and the primetime shows “Dancing With The Stars” and “America’s Got Talent.”

On Thursday, November 24, Fitz and The Tantrums will perform at the 90th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® in New York City, which is expected to attract 3.5 million spectators and more than 50 million television viewers. Their performance can be seen on the NBC telecast of the event. Also tune in Friday, December 2, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT to watch Fitz and the Tantrums on AUDIENCE Network, DIRECTV Ch 239/U-verse Ch 1114. The Los Angeles-based band wraps up its fall “Come Get Your Love” tour tomorrow night at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis and will perform at numerous holiday radio station shows thereafter. See below for itinerary.
Fitz and The Tantrums, released earlier this year, was hailed by AllMusic.com as a “fun, exuberant album.” It is the follow-up to More Than Just a Dream, which has racked up over 76 million album streams to date. The 2013 album contained the Gold-certified singles “The Walker” and “Out Of My League.“ Both tracks topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart – a feat accomplished by only three other artists in the chart’s 25-year history.
