Devour The Day headed to Cheers Pub in South Bend Indiana last Saturday for their S.O.A.R. album release party. It was a packed house, selling out early in the evening. Drinks were flowing as was the excellent music from the opening bands Blood From A Stone, Moveable Types, and Praise The Fallen.
Devour The Day, the four piece rock band from Memphis, TN which consists of Blake Allison- vocals, Joey Chicago- bass, David Hoffman- guitar, and Ronnie Farris- drums released their sophomore album on April 1st via Razor & Tie. The energetic group took the stage opening the show with the title track of their new Album, “S.O.A.R.” The crowd was super energetic and responded by singing along with Allison.
Eight songs off of the new album were played Saturday night, I was excited to hear my personal favorite “The Bottom” played live. Allison at one point late in the set whipped his guitar in the air across the stage to the tech and he finished out the set killing it on the mic.
This band brings back real rock music where ever they play.
