Davey Suicide at The Crofoot Ballroom

4/20 comes around once a year and this year it was Twiztid’s 4th annual 420 show at The Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI.  This show was jam packed full of fans sporting marijuana themed clothing.

The group I went to see was the eighth band on the thirteen band lineup. This was the first time I saw Davey Suicide, but it sure won’t be the last.  The five piece Industrial metal band from UnHolywood, Killafornia really were powerful on the stage.  The band consists of Davey Suicide, Needlz, Drayven Davidson, Niko Gemini, and Derek Obscura.

They started off the set with “Hustler Queen”. The Strobe lights bouncing off Suicide’s blonde dreadlocks as they switched over to “Until We’re Dead”. The five piece band never stopped moving, full of energy.  They moved quickly through their thirty five minute set list.   Davey Suicide’s clear, crisp voice echoed throughout the packed ballroom. Tons of fans were up in the balcony looking down over the crowd.

“Dirty Rotten Filthy Rich” was one of my favorites of the night. The energy of these guys was contagious.   They closed out the set with “Generation Fuck Star”, which seemed to be the crowd favorite.  If you get a chance you need to check out this band!  They do not disappoint.
