Coheed and Cambria vocalist / guitarist Claudio Sanchez has announced details of his brand new signature Anna guitar pedal from Wren & Cuff with pre-orders available today. To celebrate the 20th anniversary Coheed and Cambria’s beloved debut album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, Claudio and camp had the idea to make a pedal to mark the occasion. They decided on a pedal dedicated to one of Sanchez’s favorite and most trusted combinations when in the studio and on the stage, his 80’s Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive® feeding his ’78 “op-amp” Big Muff®. Today Sanchez’s Evil Ink Comics has also released a new Kill Audio vinyl figure (Monochrome / Blood Splatter Edition) which is available today via the Evil Ink webstore and limited to just 300 pieces. Standing 8” tall, the new ‘Hold My Breath’ vinyl figure depicts the classic underwater death scene featured in Evil Ink’s popular Kill Audio comic series created by Sanchez and partner Chondra Echert with art from Mr. Sheldon (DEADPOOL). The figure is weighted with concrete boots and features a removable double-neck eel guitar with a strap measuring 7.5” long [vinyl figure image below]. Just Last month Coheed and Cambria shared the official music video for their new single “A Disappearing Act.” The song finds frontman Claudio Sanchez swapping his signature Gibson Explorer for a synthesizer that blasts a mighty dance riff. Directed by Max Moore, the video sees Coheed and Cambria whipping up a high energy dance party in the underground lair of the villain Candelaria from their new album and story, “Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind” – watch it HERE.
Earlier this summer Coheed and Cambria released their widely celebrated new album and the latest chapter of “The Amory Wars” saga with Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind.
